FAQ

The most frequently asked questions.

Yes. A permit is required whenever you want to occupy any part of public space: sidewalk, cycle path, roadway, etc.

In the event of unauthorized occupation, the police may impose a fine and stop the work, deliveries or other activities.

The timeframe depends on the municipality, the type of road, and the impact of the occupation:
  • Average time: between 10 and 15 working days;
  • Urgent procedures: sometimes 2 to 3 days, under conditions;
  • Complex cases: up to 3 months, for example if other work is already scheduled during the same period.

The general rule is strict: no exceptions. However, some municipalities allow an emergency procedure, only activated with the approval of competent authorities (police, fire department, and road administrator).

There are two possibilities:
  • Mandatory use of city services: signs are supplied and installed by city services; prices are usually available on the municipality’s website.
  • Private provider: the cost usually includes a travel and installation fee, as well as a rental price for the signs. A personalized quote is always provided.

Signs must be installed 48 hours before the occupation begins. We offer a 1-week package + optional extra days, which is more advantageous than daily rates.
